WELCOME!
Since our Charter issued on October 20, 1919, our American Legion Post 200 has been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community. Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families. The second mission of our Post is to support the local community with activities to benefit the local organizations and help the less fortunate. The third mission of the Post is to foster good patriotism while promoting the benefits of Americanism to the youth of our community.

New members are always welcome! Canteen rental is available for parties. No charge for members and nominal fee of $250 for non-members. Canteen amenities include the following: Full service bar with attached interior and exterior patios for your enjoyment. Inside enjoy pool tables, shuffle board, TV's, jukebox, internet and lottery. Various munchies and snacks are always available and reasonably priced. Outside activities at Post 200 include horseshoes and cornhole.

The American Legion Post 200's primary objective is to provide assistance to veterans, their families including their children through a variety of programs listed below (Due to certain Covid restrictions, some of these activities have been temporarily suspended.):

Donating funds to different veteran related organizations i.e. homeless veterans, medical equipment (wheelchairs and electrical power chairs) and educational programs.

Providing food and clothing.

Conducting monthly Bingo games at the Jerry Pettis VA Hospital that include giving of prizes and serving food.

Providing programs to children of veterans including children in the surrounding communities through Easter, Halloween and Christmas parties and events.

Sponsoring the Boys State and Girls State Programs.

Providing military funeral escorts.

Providing assistance to veterans and their families with VA and Social Security benefits to include cooperation with various government agencies and the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
